First Email

Hey Everyone!

Today is the day, I report to the MTC at 1:15 today and will leave for Colorado on 25 January 2016.

I am so excited to go to the MTC! I have been in Utah for the past few days spending some time with my mom and have had an amazing time walking around in the canyons, visiting the slopes, and spending time with extended cousins as well. I love the weather out here. It pretty much stays in about the 20's. Much better weather (in my opinion) than sunny and 75 like it was in GA this pas Christmas.

The next 12 days in training will be rough. Someone described it to me as EFY on steroids. I loved EFY, but the amount of study and learning at the MTC in INSANE! I am excited to focus my life on the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my savior and I know he lives. I am doing my best even these past 3 days that I have been a set apart missionary to have an eye single to the glory of God. I em excited to see what he has in store for me in Colorado. I will send pictures of the MTC the next time I get a chance.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to my open house, it really meant a lot to me. I am so grateful for all the people who were there. Each and every one of you have made an impact on my life in one way or another. I am so grateful for all of you.

I love the BOOK OF MORMON! I just finished reading it last night and the feeling I got was like no other. I would encourage each of you to read it. Great peace comes even just from reading. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to prepare to serve a mission. My testimony has been strengthened so much just from the preparation I did. I love the gospel with all my heart. I know it is true.

Well y'all, I am leaving now to go say goodbye to a friend of mine, then I will be off to the MTC.
